ABOUT ME

Hi, My name is Portia Hill. I am the owner of and creator behind PNH CUSTOMS. I have 2 handsome young boys ages 6 and 13. I have my associates in general education and ultrasound. I never imagined doing anything outside of ultrasound but once my oldest son's health started worsening, I found peace in learning new things. I stumbled upon sublimation at first and later DTF. I also stumbled upon tufting. After creating a few t-shirts, coffee mugs, and even tufting my oldest a Lighting McQueen carpet to be able to do his tummy-time therapy on, I fell in love with the art. Since then, I've created so many more tufted rugs ranging from simple to very detailed and also created quite a few shirts/outfits. The challenge can be stressful for some but I enjoy what I do. 

Along the way, my youngest mental and the eldest health got to the point where staying at home was best for both of them. My oldest is at home but under Hospice Care currently and we take everyday as a blessing. Some times may be harder than others but we continue to push forward as a family and as children of God. While pushing through this thing called life I decided to start PNH CUSTOMS because I knew staying at home was best for my family. My website is a full reflection of my personality. I also created my very own design for Grief. 

As a parent, the thought of having to bury your own child is numbing. I go through the emotional rollercoasters every single day but with the help of his PCP, his team from CARDINAL KIDS, and his team from Atrium Health, I'm learning to find peace. I created my Finding Comfort in Grief shirts because I know how hard it is. I also know that it requires a LEARN, DO, and REPEAT process because one moment you may feel accepting and the next day, be back at square one. 

Life has been a process. Whether it's my every day life with my kiddos or with orders. I strive being the best version of myself day by day. Helping you bring your idea's to life either on a garment or tufted rug is definitely what PNH CUSTOMS is all about!! I hope my creations bring everlasting smiles and memories for you or your loved one.
